I received a referral from a coworker to photograph this Airbnb listing, called Tadpole Cabin (the main property is called Frog Farm, making Tadpole Cabin a fitting name). Described as a Cozy Cabin in the Woods, those looking for a private escape from everyday life will not be disappointed.

Its tucked away location and ornate custom woodwork gave me hobbit house vibes. The kitchen cabinets, stairway railing, shelving and upstairs perch are all uniquely crafted. Guests sleep in an upstairs loft overlooking the downstairs (where there is a sleeper sofa for kids or additional guests).

Need time away to work on your dissertation or novel? There is a writer's desk just for you. Escape to the peace and quiet of Tadpole Cabin while you focus on what your mind, body and soul need. Even your dog is welcome here, with a fenced area provided.

Tadpole Cabin is located in Old Fort, North Carolina (East of Asheville) and a short 5-minute scenic drive to downtown Old Fort. Other quick drives include Black Mountain (15 minutes) and downtown Asheville (30 minutes).
